Our Program

We restrict the session to drop handlebar road bikes only.  This is simply because other bike types handle differently and can cause safety issues in group situations.

This is a training session.  Nobody’s life depends on the outcome. Helping those with less experience or fitness will earn you the respect of other riders.  There will be zero tolerance of aggressive or abusive riders; they will simply be asked to leave.  Fast or slow, male or female, everybody has the same priority for track access.

This is the first season.  We will be working this out as we go along.  We ask that everybody shows respect to the coaches and to each other; nothing more and nothing less. We welcome all genders and abilities in a safe and fun atmosphere.  The Agassiz Speedway is the prefect venue.  Set in the picturesque hillside above Agassiz, the asphalt paved track is ¼ mile (400m) at the inside. The first question we often get asked by beginner road cyclists is, “Will I get dropped?”.  Well, the track is only ¼ mile long, so that limits how far back you can be and, besides, its an oval so who is in the front and who is in the back is something of a moot point.

The short circuit format allows us to run a program that will work for a number of ability levels.

Our first golden rule will “One Track – One Coach”.  We need to be clear that this is a coached workout and that for safety reasons everybody on the track needs to follow the program as directed.
